I have a degree in Archaeology and a Dip Grad. I initially started working as an archeological illustrator, stepped sideways on to studying and working in anatomy/biological anthropology, eventually moving on to study surveying and work as a cartographer.
While most of my employment has been within the university sector I have also worked for several private companies as a graphic designer, most notably user interface development for in-house applications.
The artefact images here were done by hand using Rotring pens. More recently I've used Adobe Illustrator, but traditional illustration is still a popular choice for those who want a physical piece of art for their collections. The artefacts below are from SE Asia.
